One of the things that's struck me as I get older is the way that so many of my creative interests and so called 'artistic' moments seem to have become simply part of a wider '

hase' which just runs out, passes and then occasionally resumes after increasing amounts of time have gone by.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I used to have alot more ideas, alot more weird dreams and sudden inspiration to draw or take pictures. Of course, part of it that is the fact that I'm now a student and my attention has been split into aproximately a million different concerns, among which looking at new art, reading fiction and spending time doodling no longer ranks high enough; drowned out by making sure i can pay the rent, working the multiple jobs that requires, trying to produce original research for my course, reading the required course material, managing my somewhat limited funds, chasing banks and tax firms, getting enough sleep, getting good grades etc. And as for the real world when i graduate? you can forget all about having time to paint or the space to do it (every year my house gets smaller).
So.. while i can't quite bear to leave DA, i'm no longer gonna pretend to that I'll be adding anything new "sometime soon" or "When I've got more time". What i WILL be doing is stripping back my own account and then using the site to keep a constant eye on the fantastic work that keeps appearing on here, and leaving comments to those that deserve it, favs etc.
Keep up the good work, and I'll be watching
